Coach Rice

We are thrilled to announce Tyler Rice as the 6th head football coach in our school’s history! Coach Rice brings an impressive résumé filled with success at every level of the game, and we couldn’t be more excited for him to lead our program into its next chapter of excellence.

A former quarterback with collegiate playing experience at the University of Tennessee Martin and Morehead State University, Coach Rice has translated his on-field success into a remarkable coaching career. Most recently, he served as the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach at the University of North Alabama, where his 2021 offense led the Big South Conference in passing yards (288.7 per game) and finished second in scoring (34.9 points per game). Under his leadership, the offense produced multiple all-conference players, including an FCS All-American.

Coach Rice’s previous coaching stops include positions at the University of Tennessee Martin, where he developed NFL-caliber talent like wide receiver Jaylon Moore (Baltimore Ravens) and quarterback John Bachus III, the 2019 Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year. At every stop, Coach Rice has demonstrated his ability to develop players, recruit talent, and foster academic success among his athletes, highlighted by an average team GPA of 3.36 during his tenure at North Alabama.

Known for his passion, innovative offensive strategies, and commitment to building winning cultures, Coach Rice also brings deep ties to Tennessee high school football, where his coaching journey began. His extensive experience and proven track record of success make him the perfect fit to lead our team.
